The City of Dallas has collaborated with more than 200 business service organizations to form a countywide small business ecosystem.
The Broaden Urban Investments to Leverage Dallas (BUILD) network will provide resources to small- to medium-sized, women- and minority-owned businesses in Dallas County. Business owners at every stage – from innovation and concept to those seeking to grow – will have access to BUILD's technical training, business funding, guidance, mentorship and other resources.
"Minority- and women-owned small businesses deserve access to opportunity, and I am happy that we can work with more than 200 businesses to make that happen,” City Manager T.C. Broadnax said in a City of Dallas news release. “This ecosystem will be a valuable asset in our dedication and service to help create a better experience for our small business owners.”
This project has been in the works for over a year. The BUILD website is designed to be a master resource that helps small businesses find and gain access to resources unique to their needs. Information about the Dallas BUILD Ecosystem is available online.
