Buckhaults "Very Optimistic" about the 2021-2022 Academic Year at Clarendon College

Classroom

Clarendon Community College recently issued the following announcement.

The state of Clarendon College is in great shape for the 2021-2022 academic year.

During his State of the College address to the CC faculty and staff during All College Day on Thursday August 19, 2021, President Tex Buckhaults highlighted several positive aspects about the college. He complimented the coaches and program directors for doing an excellent job recruiting. Enrollment is up in several areas. For example, the resident halls on the main campus are full, and the cosmetology programs in Amarillo and Canyon are at capacity.

In addition to enrollment being up, the college has also had a number of successes recently including national championships in meat judging, ranch horse, and men’s rodeo. Back in January, Buckhaults noted that he was “cautiously optimistic,” yet at Thursday’s State of the College address, he joyfully stated that he is “very optimistic” about the 2021-2022 academic year, thanks to the hard work and successes of so many. He noted the recent successes with the three national championships along with the hard work of the coaches, program directors, and many others are all reasons to be confident and enthusiastic of what is on the horizon for the 2021-2022 academic year.
