City of DeSoto recently issued the following announcement.
As of Friday, December 31st, City of DeSoto waste hauler Republic Services reports they are experiencing collection delays due to extremely heavy holiday trash volumes. Some areas have not received full collection and Republic will be working continuously …into next week if necessary…to collect accumulated trash & recycling. Thank you for your patience, You can help us speed up collection in the following ways:
- Please leave uncollected items out where crews can get to them
- Don’t put large boxes in trash. Break them down and stack with recycling
- Don’t put Christmas trees in trash. They will be recycled on Jan 5th
