The Corner Stone Plaza, a master-planned retail center, has begun construction in Mesquite.

Construction on the project in the east Dallas suburb, a very populated residential area, is underway and expected to be finished approximately halfway through 2020.

A 21,000-square-foot project located at 125 E. Grubb Drive is being developed by Brosco Group. Byron Howard and Giovanni Scardino with The Weitzman Group will be working on the project's leasing.

Spaces available range from 1,334 square feet to 2,758 square feet.

Weitzman said on its website that the location offers great access to both North Beltline Road and Bryan Beltline Road. This give opportunities for signage on both sides of the businesses to attract customers.

Leasing is looking for restaurant, beauty, health care practices, fitness and service tenants to rent out the locations. The area is close to medical and commercial facilities, but is underserved on retail stores and other commercial trade.

The new buildings will be located across the street from the Mesquite Specialty Hospital, Texas Regional Women's Health Center and the Mesquite Police Department.

Howard is the vice president of the Weitzman Group and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors. Scardino is an associate of the Weitzman Group and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors.

Other leasing projects the Weitzman Group has in the Dallas area are on North Collins Street, the 101 Center, 105 Country View Drive, on Riverfront Boulevard, and the Belt Line Shopping Center.

Brosco Group is a developing company located in Mesquite. It is one business that is a part of the Brosco Group of companies, which includes Brosco International Inc.
