South San Antonio Independent School District issued the following announcement on September 24.
South San Antonio Independent School District employees will receive a $3,000 retention payment by the first scheduled payday in October (10/15). The district Board of Trustees unanimously approved the retention payment in July.
South San ISD officials announced that the one-time supplemental payment would be issued via the employee’s regular pay method and will only contain required deductions from Federal Withholding and Medicare Taxes.
Current South San ISD employees who are full-time or those regularly scheduled to work at least 25 hours each week are eligible to receive the sum. Part-time employees will receive a prorated payment based upon average regular hours worked 09/20 through 10/01/2021.
