There were four Pacific Islander students enrolled in Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy School District in the 2022-23 school year, 20% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy School District welcomed 2,462 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0.2% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy School District roughly covers schools within Dallas County and has a main office in Dallas.

Among the six schools in Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy School District, Pioneer Technology (PTAA) Greenville recorded the highest enrollment of Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of two students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
