There were 984 Hispanic students enrolled in Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy School District in the 2021-22 school year, 29.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy School District welcomed 2,226 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 44.2% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy School District roughly covers schools within Dallas County and has a main office in Dallas.

Among the six schools in Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy School District, Pioneer Technology (Ptaa) Mesquite recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 524 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
